Day 1: Addis Ababa – Jimma – Coffee Culture Morning departure from Addis Ababa by drive or flight to Jimma.
Visit the historic Jimma Aba Jifar Palace, one of the best-preserved royal residences in southwestern Ethiopia. Explore Jimma town and experience its strong coffee culture. Visit a local coffee house and learn traditional Ethiopian coffee preparation. Overnight in Jimma.
Day 2: Jimma – Bonga (Kaffa Coffee Forests) Drive to Bonga
After breakfast, drive to Bonga through lush green highlands. Enter the famous Kaffa Biosphere Reserve, widely believed to be the birthplace of coffee. Guided walk in natural coffee forests (wild coffee grows naturally here). Learn how coffee was originally discovered and traditionally harvested. Visit a rural Kaffa village and experience local lifestyle and forest-based living. Overnight in Bonga.
Day 3: Bonga – Sheka Forest – Return to Addis Ababa Sheka Forest Biosphere Reserve.
Early morning drive through the stunning Sheka Forest Biosphere Reserve. Scenic stops for photography in one of Ethiopia’s most untouched rainforest regions. Experience dense jungle landscapes, bamboo forests, and rich biodiversity. Continue drive back to Addis Ababa. Arrive in the evening, end of tour.
